PRé Consultants holds a key
position within the global field of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). LCA
models the complex interaction between a product and the environment
from cradle to grave.
PRé Consultants’ mission is to make a
positive change in the world, by providing the tools, the knowledge and
the network to help decision making for sustainable policies, products
and services. We do so by supplying the world’s most widely used LCA
software SimaPro, developed in-house by our software team. This
professional tool assesses and compares the environmental impact of any
kind of system. First developed in 1990, SimaPro is now used by leading
industries, consultancies, universities and research institutes in over
80 countries.
In addition to our contributions to
fields such as sustainable consumption, product service systems and
rebound effects, we are globally renowned for our work in the area of
impact assessment methods. We actively participate in and contribute to
scientific networks, for example the UNEP Life Cycle Initiative in which
PRé Consultants holds a chair in the board. Next to this we facilitate
and support a global network of partners and LCA practitioners.
As we are expanding our activities,
