SimaPro Compact for quick results
If ease of use, quick learning and an intelligent design are your main
criteria, choose the Compact version. It is built for reliable results with
limited effort. Powerful Wizards assist you managing complex tasks, while all results remain completely transparent.
The Compact version has all the functionality to perform a full LCA
study. If you look for more specialized features, such as parameterized
modelling and scenario analysis, or Monte Carlo analysis the SimaPro 7.1
Analyst may be a better choice.

If advanced features, transparency and flexibility are your main criteria,
choose the Analyst version. It is built for the LCA expert that wants to
assess every detail of the LCA he/she is making. It supports
parameterized modeling, and comes with advanced
analytical features including parameter based scenario analysis and
Monte Carlo analysis.

SimaPro Developer to create dedicated LCA tools
For the specialist, we offer the Developer version. It has the same features as the SimaPro Analyst but is extended
with direct Excel/ASP linking, Wizard writing
options,
COM interface and import/export in
EcoSpold format.
To demonstrate the COM feature a .NET desktop and a Java web
application were developed by our partner
GreenDeltaTC. You can download these
open source connectors from

Temporary licenses
SimaPro can be purchased as indefinite license or as a temporary license.
A temporary license is an ideal solution if:
- you want to test SimaPro before purchasing
an indefinite license, or want to run a first LCA project and investigate
if it is a useful tool.
- you need temporary expansion of the capacity to run a complex LCA
project. This is especially useful with a multi-user version.
- you want a temporary upgrade to a higher version (for example the
Developer version to develop Wizards)
After expiration of a temporary license the software will run in demo
mode: you can still access and print your data, but no longer edit them.
Temporary licenses come with a service
contract included.

Database
To get started with your LCA projects, SimaPro comes inclusive of several
inventory databases with thousands
of processes, plus the most important
impact assessment methods. You
do not have to spend time on collecting general data, and you can focus
on the important issues of your study.
PRé Consultants is reseller of the ecoinvent
v2 database, an up to date
database with 4000 processes. This database is fully integrated in all
professional SimaPro versions!
