HÅG seating solutions in Norway
commissioned
Stiftelsen Østfoldforskning
to make a series of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for office
furniture. The availability of public data, combined with the features
to create an specific EPD impact assessment method in SimaPro were
essential to get an EPD out efficiently.
BLIC
BLIC, now the
European Tyre & Rubber Manufacturers’ Association, commissioned an LCA
of the average car tyre. For internal use they all have SimaPro with a
wizard, that allows them to specify their own
assumptions and their own car tyre specifications.

EFSOT project on lead free soldering
The ROhS directive
requires electronics producers to ban lead from soldering. A large
consortium of European, Japanese and Korean partners gathered in
EFSOT project. investigated
the technical and environmental impacts. SimaPro's ability to model
complex waste and recycling scenarios was essential for the success of
this large project.
