The ecoinvent v2 database
 The
ecoinvent database contains up-to-date and consistent life cycle inventories for
nearly 4000 industrial processes.
The inventory database is fully integrated in SimaPro.The ecoinvent v2 database is included in all new
SimaPro licenses, at
no extra costs.
Special
upgrade prices are available.

Due to licensing restrictions, not all details of all processes are
visible. 100 processes are fully visible.
Advantages of ecoinvent
with SimaPro
An ecoinvent v2 database in
SimaPro 7 will give you:
- The ecoinvent database in SimaPro format
(English version, v2).
The ecoinvent database is fully integrated in SimaPro, no conversion
is needed!
- Unit and system processes. PRé has taken great care to integrate
both the unit processes ("raw" data) and the calculated results (systems).
The systems can be used for quick screenings, the unit processes
for detailed analyses which go at a surprisingly high calculation speed.
- SimaPro can analyze the uncertainty data in the ecoinvent
unit processes using advanced Monte
Carlo analysis features (not in SimaPro Compact, Faculty and Classroom).
With SimaPro, you can analyze the uncertainty in the full process tree
or compare 2 processes.
- The SimaPro Analyst, Developer and PhD can specify substances
per subcompartment. Furthermore, you have the option to exclude
infrastructure processes from the calculations (Analyst, PhD and
Developer versions).
- Full and unlimited access to the
ecoinvent website, including the
inventory data in the EcoSpold XML format. Ecospold XML import
is supported in the SimaPro Analyst and Developer versions.
- The ecoinvent CD-ROM with all final reports, including detailed
descriptions of all ecoinvent datasets.
- Standard ecoinvent data support by e-mail or fax from the
Ecoinvent Centre, and access to the FAQ pages on the Ecoinvent web site.
- Support for the ecoinvent database in SimaPro format, including
updates, is covered under the SimaPro
service contract.
If you order a new SimaPro 7 license, you automatically
obtain an ecoinvent v2 license. All above items are included with the license
at no additional cost!

All processes come with extensive documentation. Infrastructure data
